Lami or Lamy?

I don't understand: there is a link to the article about Bernard Lamy, yet the theorem seems to be known as "Lami's theorem". Is it the same Lamy? If so, why did the "y" get changed into a "i"? Kiwipidae (talk) 12:31, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
